Finally its Here, The Vespa Fuel Pump Recall
Whether it’s referred to as an Upgrade, Replacement or Recall, whichever name Piaggio calls it, the overdue recall is finally here!
As Piaggio insists on referring to the free fuel pump replacement, an upgrade, the long-awaited Vespa fuel pump recall is finally here! The “upgrade” is good news for many riders who have had severe, stressful and often costly fuel pump issues.
If your Vespa experiences fuel pump issues, contact your local Vespa dealer to establish if the recall covers your model year. There should be no additional costs if your ride is covered by the recall.

Had my Vespa 1 week from brand new 2016 plate on the 18 April and fuel pump has gone twice that’s two new pumps gone in one week 🙁

Hi Dave,
Hope by now your fuel pump issue has been resolved. Including the original fuel pump, the total of number of defective fuel pumps would be three. We believe the issue is not the fuel pump, the odds of three defective fuel pumps is very unlikely.
