Vespa World Days was formed in 2007 as a metamorphose of the excellent Eurovepsa Rally, which organized its first rally in 1954 and the final one in 2007.  In 2006 the Piaggio Foundation along with Piaggio & C. S.P. A. founded the Vespa World Club, which oversees Vespa World Days. The Clubs members are made up from National Vespa Clubs and the Piaggio Corporation.

Each year, at a meeting between the chairmen of the National Vespa Clubs, the Vespa World Club and Piaggio & C. s.p.a. to discuss the operations of the Vespa World Club.  At the meeting the future locations of the Vespa World Days event are decided. These events are hosted by a local Vespa Club.
